About HealthLink Interpreters

The concept behind HealthLink Interpreters grew out of a belief that the world of health care needs and deserves specialized interpretation. As a division of CTS LanguageLink, HealthLink Interpreters recognizes the value of having dedicated health care interpreters, who are passionate about the special needs of patients in a variety of conditions.

HealthLink Interpreters provides special training to interpreters who exhibit the special caring qualities required in health care. It is our goal that HealthLink Interpreters looks and feels like an extension of the core values of your hospital or clinic.

HealthLink Interpreters carefully screens its telephone interpreters beyond the requirements of most other interpretation companies. We want to make sure our interpreters can withstand the pressures of the emergency room and have the stamina required for labor and delivery.

Yasema Tratz, Interpreter Relations Manager

Yasema works directly with the interpreters in order to ensure quality services. Together with the Call Center Manager, she is responsible to ensure the call center is providing the highest quality service. Yasema also manages the Interpreter Relations team, which is responsible for recruiting, and ensuring each interpreter has the necessary tools to be successful in each assignment. She is certified as a Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) medical and social services interpreter and translator in Washington State, and a certified Bridging the Gap Interpreter.

Bridging the Gap is a medical interpreter training program that teaches interpreters about cultural impact, and how to apply the interpreter Code of Conduct and Ethics. CTS LanguageLink seeks out interpreters with this certification.
